About the Forum
Excellence was born in Greece. In October 2026, it comes home. The word aretē gave the world its first language for excellence, not as a single skill or metric, but as something holistic: the harmonious development of mind, body, and spirit, each part realising its fullest potential. Twenty-five centuries later, the idea is coming home, and it is coming home at exactly the moment the world needs it most.
The Business Excellence Institute is bringing the inaugural Global Excellence Forum to Athens to mark a restart. Across business and government alike, excellence is increasingly recognized as the single most reliable way to manage an organization well: to lift performance, earn the confidence of every stakeholder, and turn good intentions into measurable results.
Under the auspices of the SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and the Citizens’ Movement for an Open Society, the Business Excellence Institute presents the inaugural Global Excellence Forum – “In Search of Excellence in Business, Government, and the Future”. The next evening, beneath the chandeliers of the historic Hotel Grande Bretagne, the Excellence Hall of Fame celebrates its tenth anniversary, honouring a new class alongside a decade of remarkable inductees.
